Are you attending AACR 2014?
For those of you attending AACR 2014, we have the low-down on exhibitors you just have to meet, along with a fantastic guide on must-see sites in San Diego to keep you busy while you’re in town!
Many of our antibody friends are going to be at AACR and we definitely think you should get along to see them. Here are just a few who we’ve featured recently here on our blog:
We have over 100,000 Novus antibodies listed on CiteAb – so make sure you mention us when you visit the company at booth 1006! Novus Biological provided us with data during the first stages of CiteAb development, so we’re ever-grateful to them for helping us off the ground in those early days. The company covers has over 120 research areas, so you’ll have no problem finding products that interest you.
At booth 1107 you can find Thermo Scientific Pierce, who list over 41,000 antibodies on CiteAb. The company validates each antibody one at a time, and has a growing list of publication references so that each customer can see peer reviewed data before purchasing its antibodies.
Bioss antibodies can be found on booth 2045, and have travelled from Greater Boston, Massachusetts. The company was set up in 2000 by two scientists working in the field of medicine, who aimed to develop and manufacture top quality protein research products to accelerate biological research and discovery.
Pop along to booth number 2046 to meet another Massachusetts company, Fitzgerald Industries International. A leading supplier of antibodies and proteins since 1989, this is a truly global company offering over 50,000 products and with particular strengths in cell biology, signal transduction and neuroscience.
Jackson ImmunoResearch have just celebrated their 10th anniversary, so be sure to say hello and congratulations to them at booth number 1445. (Also, look out for Jack, their dog… he might have got a passport and be visiting AACR from Europe…?) The company is based in rural Pennsylvania and specialises in the production and conjugation of affinity-purified secondary antibodies.
Travelling to AACR from Chicago is ProteinTech, another of the companies that helped us get CiteAb up and running by providing data in the early days. Proteintech offers an extensive range of primary antibodies for all areas of research, validated by ELISA and WB as standard and usually IHC and IF too, and you can find them on booth 1133.
StressMarq Biosciences specialises in combined commercial and scientific heat shock and cellular stress bioreagents, drawing on a large scientific community and two decades of experience in the sector. Say hello to StressMarq president Ariel Louwrier from us here at CiteAb when you visit booth number 133.
So if you’re in San Diego for the week, do say hello to many of our friends for us, as we can’t unfortunately be there ourselves. You should also check out the blog we wrote on the best way to spend your free time in San Diego (back for last year’s Neuroscience conference), including all sorts of activities from visiting the zoo and the beach, to taking in the Old Town and exploring Balboa Park.
Have a great time – and comment here to tell us what you got up to!
– Matt and the CiteAb team
