More feature updates at CiteAb
Further to our blog last week, our development team has been hard at work and we’re introducing yet more updates here at CiteAb.
As always, our new features are based on much appreciated feedback from the researchers who use CiteAb to find antibodies – so if there is anything you’d like to see us do in the future please do get in touch!
So this week we’ve introduced two new calculator pages to CiteAb, with the aim of making it easier for researchers to work out what they need to order.
The first calculator is an antibody dilution tool, which allows researchers to calculate the volume of stock antibody and buffer needed in order to achieve a solution of the desired volume and concentration. Our team has used the formula below to underpin the calculator.
Concentration (stock) × Volume (stock) = Concentration (dilute) × Volume (dilute)
The second calculator we’ve introduced is a mass molarity tool. This allows researchers to calculate the mass of compound needed in order to achieve a specific molar concentration and volume.
The formula used to underpin this calculator is: Mass (g) = Concentration (mol/L) x Volume (L) x Molecular Weight (g/mol)
You can find both tools in the CiteAb Toolbox now.
Matt, who has helped put these new features live this week, says: “It’s great to have feedback on what helps our users get more from CiteAb – do keep it coming. We hope these new calculator tools prove useful!”
