We built our reagent search tool to help researchers tackle the big problems in life science research. We’re thrilled to share that our latest analysis revealed it’s used by Nobel Prize-winning labs.

Our database of antibodies, proteins, biochemicals, nucleotides, kits, and cell lines – all backed by citation data from peer-reviewed publications – enables researchers to find and evaluate reagents to accelerate research.

Supporting Nobel Prize-Winning Labs

From a University of Bath spin-out to a globally used platform, we’ve grown our search engine significantly in our 10+ years.

It is fantastic to learn that our tool has supported scientists, from small new labs to the biggest and most prestigious, working on such groundbreaking discoveries. Our latest analysis found that between 2014 and 2024, four Nobel Prize-winning labs had team members who had used our search engine to find and evaluate reagents. This analysis was limited to the Nobel prize for Physiology and Medicine.

These Nobel prize winners were awarded the accolade for scientific discoveries covering:

  • “discoveries concerning nucleoside base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19”
  • “discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch”
  • “discovery of cancer therapy by inhibition of negative immune regulation”
  • “discoveries of cells that constitute a positioning system in the brain”

. You can read more about their research on the Nobel Prize website.

“It’s amazing to see how far our scientific search engine has come. To hear that labs making such impactful discoveries – even winning Nobel Prizes – are using CiteAb is incredibly rewarding for our team.”

  • Andrew Chalmers, CEO of CiteAb

We are looking forward to continuing to grow our user base and helping researchers across the world find the right reagents to power future discoveries.

Helping researchers from across the world

Beyond Nobel prize winning labs, we are really pleased to help a huge range of researchers from across the world: The Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
