Proteintech’s ‘PAX8’ is most cited pathology antibody
We have released a new dataset today which highlights leading antibody suppliers and the top cited antibodies by research area.
One of the research areas we have looked at is pathology research – where we have analysed 3,900 citations for 2,700 antibodies, supplied by 51 different companies.
Claiming the lion’s share of the pathology research antibody market we see Santa Cruz Biotechnology, however excitingly the most cited antibody is from fast-growing Proteintech. The company’s ‘PAX8’ antibody has 107 citations on CiteAb.
CiteAb lists over 65,000 Santa Cruz antibodies, however, we recently reported that the company has been losing market share overall in recent years. We highlighted in the same report that Proteintech’s market share has rocketed in the last five years, having cracked much of the growing Asian market – it will be interesting to see where the company goes next.
