Santa Cruz claim lion’s share of biochemistry antibody market
We have released a new dataset today which highlights leading antibody suppliers and the top cited antibodies by research area.
One of the research areas we have looked at is biochemistry, where we have analysed 23,000 citations for 3,600 antibodies, supplied by 68 different companies.
Claiming the lion’s share of the market we see Santa Cruz Biotechnology, while Abcam’s ‘Anti-Histone H3 antibody’ tops the antibody list with 847 citations.
CiteAb lists over 65,000 Santa Cruz antibodies in total, and the company has strengths across a range of research areas. However, we recently reported that Santa Cruz has been losing market share overall in recent years, some of which has been captured by Abcam.
