Sigma-Aldrich antibody is most cited for cell biology research
We have released a new dataset today which highlights leading antibody suppliers and the top cited antibodies by research area.
One of the research areas we have looked at is cell biology research, where we have analysed 19,000 citations for 9,300 antibodies, supplied by 71 different companies.
Claiming the lion’s share of the market we see Santa Cruz Biotechnology, while Sigma-Aldrich’s ‘anti-FLAG M2 (clone M2)’ tops the antibody list with 107 citations.
CiteAb lists over 65,000 Santa Cruz antibodies, however, we recently reported that the company has been losing market share overall in recent years.
Here at CiteAb we produce antibody market datasets based on the analysis of hundreds of thousands of antibody citations. This data provides a quantitative, unique and independent view of the antibody market, allowing researchers to make more informed product development and marketing decisions.
