  • And learn a little about her

We are thrilled to welcome Skye Longworth to our team at CiteAb. She joins us as our new Scientific Communications Manager and will lead on developing and delivering our marketing and communications strategy.

As CiteAb grows, and we increase both the complexity and power of our search engine and expand our product offering and datasets, we have found that we need dedicated full-time marketing support to ensure that we’re communicating our offering to our customers and platform users as clearly and consistently as possible.

Skye joins our team having completed her biochemistry degree at the University of Bristol, where she developed a passion for scientific writing through her ‘Science and society’ module. During her time at University, she was part of the organising team for Pint of Science, a community engagement initiative that communicates scientific research to lay audiences. Skye also volunteered at We The Curious in Bristol, a hands-on science exploration exhibition aimed at audiences from preschool to adult. Prior to this, she coordinated the writing of her school science magazine.

Skye says: “I am excited to start my new role at CiteAb where I will be overseeing the development of strategic communications to support the product development team. I am looking forward to drawing on the skills I learnt through my degree studies and voluntary work as I develop CiteAb’s communication platforms – I have plans for the company’s social media channels and blog, and look forward to sharing these with CiteAb’s customers over the coming months.”

In her spare time, Skye enjoys cooking, participates in yoga and is getting into running. She also enjoys travelling although of course this has been somewhat hindered by the pandemic!

We are all back in the office following the lifting of most restrictions within Britain at present, so we’re thrilled to be able to welcome Skye into the team in person and we’re looking forward to getting to know her.
