University of Texas hot on Harvard’s heels

We have released a new dataset today which highlights the institutions that carry out the most research using antibodies.

In the USA Harvard University claims 1.52% of the total global use of antibodies in research, and 3.94% of the US use of antibodies over the past five years.

Hot on Harvard’s heels is the University of Texas, claiming 3.51% use and placing as the second largest user of antibodies in the world.

The global top twenty institutions using antibodies in research is dominated by the USA, with sixteen American institutions being featured.

Andrew, founder of CiteAb, said: “The States clearly still dominates in terms of research quantity in this field, we’re seeing far greater use of antibodies here making this a huge global market for antibody companies. However, we are seeing other countries grow in strength and it has to be recognised that this is a measure of research quantity, not quality.”

If you’re interested in obtaining a free sample dataset covering the global top twenty research institutions, simply drop Matt an email (matt@citeab.com). Likewise, companies who’re interested in institutions outside of the top twenty, in specific countries, or in drilling down into details about their market share at each individual institution, should also speak to Matt about obtaining our full institution dataset.

Return to a global dataset or explore another country.

We recently held a free webinar about this data – find out more & watch here!
