Millipore and Agrisera battle it out in plant science market

We have released a new dataset today which highlights leading antibody suppliers and the top cited antibodies by research area.

One of the research areas we have looked at is plant science research – where we have analysed 460 citations for 260 antibodies, supplied by 25 different companies.

Claiming the lion’s share of the plant science research antibody market we see Millipore, with 27.39% of the market, but just fractionally behind Agrisera has secured 26.3%. This confirms our belief that researchers should shop around when looking for the best antibody for their experiments.

Abcam tops the antibody list in this research area, with 847 citations for its ‘Anti-Histone H3 antibody – Nuclear Loading Control and ChIP Grade’.

CiteAb lists over 10,600 antibodies from Millipore, and 2,251 from Agrisera. You can find out more about how CiteAb is useful for plant science researchers on our blog.

Here at CiteAb we produce antibody market datasets based on the analysis of hundreds of thousands of antibody citations. This data provides a quantitative, unique and independent view of the antibody market, allowing researchers to make more informed product development and marketing decisions.
