Today, we take a look back at our news from the last few months. It’s been a busy and exciting time for the team, with big milestones, announcements and new partnerships.
Here’s some of the highlights.
The 2023 CiteAb Awards
Now in their ninth year, our awards celebrate the successes of companies and individuals in the research reagent sector. We were so pleased to reveal the 2023 CiteAb Award winners!
This year saw more nominations than ever. Our judges and awards team noted the excellent calibre of entries, making determining our winners more challenging than ever. We are looking forward to attending AACR to present our winners with their trophies and certificates next week!

Registration is open for the 4th International Antibody Validation Meeting
Later this year, the 4th International Antibody Validation Meeting will be returning! After a COVID-induced break, we’re excited to be back in Bath this September to see how antibody validation has progressed, and discuss what the future of the field looks like.
Registration for the event is now live. If you are an academic, pharma/biotech researcher or supplier interested in antibody validation, check out the meeting website for all the details on confirmed speakers, to submit your abstract, and to register for the event.
New publisher partnership with Karger
We were so thrilled to announce our partnership with Karger Publishers. This new partnership means our data collection technology can be used to unlock hidden value within these publications and make it available to further support researchers using our search engine, and suppliers utilising our data products.
This data is also provided back to Karger, so they can find innovative new ways to use the data insights to support their users.

Database improvements
As ever, we have not lost focus on growing our citation data whilst maintaining our industry leading accuracy rates of >99%. We now have data on over 13 million commercially available research reagents.
Delving into this citation data can give valuable insight into reagent markets globally. This database also powers our free to use search engine for researchers. By ranking products only by citations, this helps researchers find reagents that work in a completely unbiased way.
Recent data insights on our blog
To give you a small glimpse into the huge range of analysis that can be carried out, we love sharing some of the data we’ve found interesting over on our blog.
Recently, we took a closer look at the leading suppliers for cancer research antibodies, proteins and biochemicals markets. We examined data spanning ten years across these three reagent types to dissect trends.

Ten years of the CiteAb reagent search engine
On March 10th, we celebrated ten years of our reagent search engine.
A decade of development has seen our search engine expand into five different reagent types (meaning we now have an antibody search engine, protein search engine, biochemical search engine, experimental model search engine and kits&assays search engine).
We’ve also grown our data and added many new features, ranging from published images being made available to registered CiteAb users, to antibody validation data to help researchers evaluate products.
It’s been great to reflect on how far our search engine has come in the last ten years, and we can’t wait to continue improving it in years to come!

Coming up
This May, we will be launching our re-developed citation widget. We’ve worked hard to create a new version of this product that is more bespoke, with published images and infographics available to display that are completely customisable. Get in touch to learn more about the new widget and try it out.
Later this year, members of the team will be attending PEGS and AAI. Next week, the team will be at AACR to present the CiteAb Awards. Do say hi if you see us around!
