We have just entered one of our favourite times of year – CiteAb Award season! Today, we are going to take the time to go through some common questions around our awards to mark the launch of our dedicated awards website, which provides further information on the categories this year.
What are the CiteAb Awards?
Now in their eighth year, the CiteAb Awards are designed to celebrate the very best suppliers and individuals in the research reagent sector worldwide.
Our awards include both data-based categories and nomination-based categories.
For the data-based categories, we look at our high quality citation data to find out which suppliers are succeeding and growing in different research areas or specialisms.
Our nomination-based categories celebrate a variety of successes in the life science sector. We encourage quality entries and nominations from suppliers and researchers which will be judged by our awards team or a panel of experts.

How can I participate in the awards?
Our awards are free to enter and entries can be made in multiple categories. Self nomination is encouraged in many of the awards – achievements of your company or colleague are something to shout about!
If you are a supplier, you can enter by following the instructions on our awards website for The Innovation Award, Environmental Initiative of the Year, Acquisition of the Year and Image of the Year awards.
If you are a researcher, we would love to hear from you if there is a published image you have produced which you would like to share for the Image of the Year award. You can also nominate a supplier whose product or customer service has particularly impressed you for the Researchers’ choice category.
When do nominations close?
Nominations will close on the 21st February 2022, with winners announced on the 21st March. We will then present the winners with their awards at the AACR conference from the 9th-13th April.
Who are CiteAb Award past winners?
Our past winners are an impressive bunch. Ranging from Millipore Sigma for Charitable Supplier of the Year in 2021 to Solarbio in 2020 for Biochemical Supplier to Watch. You can view all of our past winners’ stories on our awards website.
