We are absolutely thrilled to share with you that CiteAb have been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise (Innovation category). This is the most prestigious business award in the UK, celebrating industry leading companies who have created or developed an innovative product or service.
This nationally acclaimed award has only been given to ~7000 companies since its inception in 1965. We are certainly proud to be amongst this number, especially in the Queen’s Jubilee year!
CiteAb were awarded this prize for our innovative platform and products which use data-collection technology to mine the scientific literature to identify and understand reagent use. Data we collect is provided to reagent suppliers to inform business decisions, as well as powering our search engine for researchers. This award is validation that our technology is innovative and data-based products industry-leading and high quality.
A massive congratulations to our long term partner company Storm Consultancy, a leading South West digital technology agency, who have also received this award. When our founder Dr Andrew Chalmers had the idea for CiteAb, Storm helped bring us into the world, and have worked with us ever since.
Our CEO Andrew said:
‘It is really amazing to look back on how far we’ve come from a simple idea I had when working in a lab at the University of Bath, struggling to find antibodies that worked, to being recipients of the Queen’s Award today. I am so proud that our Bath-based business, spun out of the University, now serves suppliers and researchers internationally and helps them accelerate research.’
He added,
‘I am grateful to Storm for our partnership over the years, and to the University of Bath who were instrumental in starting CiteAb. Above all, I want to thank the team who make CiteAb a fantastic company that I love being a part of. Their hard work over the years has propelled our growth and fuelled our success.’
The whole CiteAb team feel even more motivated to continue making a positive impact in the life science sector.
We know there is so much more we can do. That’s why we are excited to be pursuing new partnerships in the coming months which will bring CiteAb to even more of the life science sector, to keep improving our quality data offerings and to move in the direction of becoming a greener business.
